Sarah began her career1999 as a massage therapist, simultaneouslyincorporating yoga into her life. She was hooked on the heat & movement. She continued to make bodywork & breath a major part of her life, understand that Yoga wasn't just about physical flexibility, but it taught her rules to live by. In 2009, she became a certified vinyasa and hot yoga instructor. Yoga taught her to use breath to move through difficult postures on and off the mat, to stay flexible, which she loves to share in her teachings as it parallels life so well. She opened S1 Yoga Stillwater in November 2011 with her husband. Sarah's is passionate about bringing "Community's together as One." They live Downtown Stillwater with their 5 children.
Dariush Moslemi - S1 Founder and Instructor
Dariush Moslemi: Always a skeptic of yoga or anything like it, Dariush grew up in the pool as a competitive swimmer while also practicing martial arts. Having spent his college career in the military and training in Tae Kwon Do, Dariush felt he knew all there was to know about health and wellness....until yoga. Talked into a power vinyasa class by a girl (of course), he figured if he went and got it out of the way he could be left alone about trying it. Seven days and seven classes later, he knew he was hooked and was already sharing with everyone in his life the benefits he was experiencing and how much he loved the well rounded workout, through body, mind and spirit. Not to long after his first class, Dariush enrolled in teacher training and became a certified 200 hour yoga instructor, following that up with an extended training refining his knowledge. He has since been an instructor throughout the twin cities in both large format classes and small private lessons. Dariush strives to bring yoga to the “everyman, woman or child,” having been such a skeptic himself, relates to his students through humor and humility while showing everyone how they are flexible, strong, confident, and ready for yoga.

Steve Streitz - Instructor
In my late teens my yoga journey began with books rather than physical practice. At the time I had no idea that looking within, living in the moment and not trusting my thoughts was at all connected to yoga. Later, in adult life I started a physical practice resulting in immediate physical results but still did not connect awareness to the postures on my mat. Eventually, teachers in my life helped me connect breath, awareness and postures to gain insight and understanding of my life and purpose. I'm certified in vinyasa (movement and flow) and yin (stillness and meditation) and would like to share what I've learned from my teachers.
Kelly Schuna - Instructor

Outside of Studio One she can be found spending time with her family and friends, loving the outdoors and eating ice cream at Nelsons.

Alex took a yoga class on a whim with a friend, and instantly fell in love and knew that it would be a part of my life. I have never found a form of physical activity that so beautifully strengthens the body and mind simultaneaously, and truly believe my outlook on life has been changed because of it. Currently I work full time as a research chemist, but my dream has always been to work in the world of physical fitness. I am honored and overjoyed to teach at Studio One!
Shelly Carter - Instructor
I have been practicing yoga for over seven years. I fell in love with it the very first time! I am continually amazed at how I learn something new about yoga or myself every time I practice. I began training in 2013 to become a certified yoga instructor with YogaFit because I am passionate about all the healthy and healing properties yoga has to offer and want to be able to share that with everyone. Linzie Wildenauer - Instructor
My yoga journey started in December of 2014, and like so many others, I was hooked after just one class. As a cross country and marathon runner, staying active is a huge part of my life, but I was in need for an activity away from the winter chill. My first class was Yoga Sculpt, and since then I have fallen in love with both the mental and physical challenges it has to offer. Inspired by all the amazing teachers in my life, I decided to take the next step and participate in Yoga Sculpt Teacher Training. The experience was a wonderful way to further my practice, as well as an opportunity to learn how to share the light inside of me. Yoga has completely transformed my life, and the astounding depth of the spiritual practice is one of my favorite things to learn about. I am so excited and honored to be able to share my love for the practice here at Studio One. Love and lunges
Heidi Dunnigan - Instructor
Heidi was first introduced to yoga when she was having horrible back and joint pain due to years of gymnastics injuries. After “stalking” her yoga instructor after class every day with questions and theories, it was suggested she find her own yoga path. Certified in 2007 Heidi still feels she is learning something new every day and will never be complete in her yoga training. Being scared she would lose her passion for yoga if it was a “job”, Heidi now realizes that her passion has grown stronger and she learns a new lesson from her practice as well as from the people she trains with each day.
Heidi loves the many styles of yoga and being able to blend one style with the next. Knowing that every day and everyone is different, we are not here to judge, but to accept who we are for what we are.
Heidi contributes yoga to healing her migraines, getting her through breast cancer, learning to accept her fears, and showing her that energy is always flowing. Just choose which kind to hold onto.
Kim Stabenow - Instructor
Kim S. loves being part of the Studio One team! Kim fell in love with yoga the first time she stepped on her mat. After practicing yoga for several years, she traveled to India to pursue teacher training in Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles. She enjoys spreading her passion for Ashtanga yoga and the yogic lifestyle.
When in need of a little inspiration, Kim remembers this quote from Pattabhi Jois: “Practice, and all is coming."
Emily Schaefer - Instructor
Emily was introduced to yoga at a young age and would practice side by side with her mom. Her mom would often joke that she would work for months or years to obtain the flexibility to get into postures when Emily could easily contort her body into whatever pose she wanted due to her hypermobility. Throughout high school, college and graduate school Emily tried many types of exercise and continued to come back to yoga due to her hypermobility and the resulting joint instability. Yoga allowed Emily to safely build strength and flexibility without putting her joints at risk. Each time she returned to yoga it became increasingly clear that it was not just fun, it was a multifaceted approach to wellness for the mind, body and spirit. She believes that yoga is for everyone no matter what physical or cognitive abilities one possesses. She is honored to share her joy and passion for yoga with others.
Renee Combs - Instructor
I discovered the gift of Yoga 15 years ago and felt the connection immediately. It was just what I needed to balance off my active life, both physically and mentally. I went through the YogaFit certification and began exploring all styles of Yoga. I am a middle school health teacher and athletic director, but sharing my passion of Yoga with others has been some of the most rewarding teaching experiences I have had and continue to have. My hobbies include spending time with family, (grandchildren!) biking, rollerblading, skiing, boating, and living an active healthy life.
Elizabeth Westerhaus - Instructor
After nearly a lifetime struggle with chronic anxiety, Liz sought to find change naturally, working to heal herself through developing a Yoga practice. Reluctantly, she tried a few classes at her local Yoga studios, but was amazed by the almost immediate transformation a quiet, welcoming space, breathing and gentle movements, afforded her weary mind and tired body. A practice she found not only to calm her anxious mind, but the perfect antidote to repair the damage done to her joints from years of running and intense strength training. A former personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Liz has always loved and felt passionate about health and wellness. After only a few short weeks into Yoga, she knew she had not only discovered the “Fountain of Youth” in this beautiful practice, but was quickly embraced by the gentle postures and connection to the breath, which significantly improve her emotional and physical health. Yoga changed her life. Literally. Her mind, her muscles, her skin, her outlook. . .and there has been no going back. After about eight years of developing her own practice, Liz wanted so much to guide others, using her personal experiences to serve and assist others in achieving the benefits of Yoga that have enriched her life more than she ever could’ve imagined. Elizabeth strives to help her students find a deeper connection to the power within, greater awareness of their bodies and minds, promoting self-healing through breath and movement. Most importantly, working with her students to create more joy-filled, peaceful, CONSCIOUS lives. Her daily practice has made her own life so much more whole and balanced and this is what Liz aims to provide to all her students. Liz is registered through Yogafit and works daily to grow her practice.
