What should I know as a student new to yoga?
Beginning a yoga practice can be overwhelming. We encourage you to read our blog designed for new students. We are here to support you 100% on your journey.I’m new to yoga. Are your classes beginner friendly?
Yes. Studio One Yoga is known for being welcoming to beginners. Our teachers offer clear guidance, alignment support, and options for every level. You do not need to be flexible or experienced to begin. Every student starts somewhere, and you belong here.What is the best class for beginners at Studio One Yoga?
Our S1 is a slow flow vinyasa class designed to teach beginners yoga. Other options are our Stretch & Flex class to learn how to stretch the right way using muscles to pull the bones and not to bear weight on your joints. Hot 60 is an all level class that can seem intimidating by the heat, but a great place to start for a solid work out building strength and flexibility as well as detoxifying the body. Or stay cool with our Yin & Meditation class as well as Restorative. These classes move at a supportive pace and help you build strength, mobility, and confidence. If you're unsure, our team is happy to recommend the perfect first class.What should I bring to my first yoga class?
Bring comfortable clothing you can move in and a water bottle.We provide mats and props at all Studio One Yoga locations, though you are welcome to bring your own.How early should I arrive for my first class?
We recommend arriving 10 to 15 minutes early so you can get settled and meet your teacher.This helps you feel comfortable and relaxed before class begins.I’m not flexible. Can I still do yoga?
Absolutely. This is the number one questions. Yoga isn't for the flexible, it teaches flexibility. Everyone starts somewhere, and everyone that is flexible remembers there first class. We are a supportive community - yoga isn't about judging others in the room, it's about connecting with them. You do not need to be flexible to begin yoga. We teach that yoga isn't a shape, it's a feeling. So let your yoga meets you exactly where you are.Which Studio One Yoga location should I choose?

Most new students begin with 2 to 3 classes per week. But with your unlimited passes - come as many times as you would like! Be mindful to your body - this is a practice not a performance. Take it slow. Consistency helps your body adapt and allows you to experience the physical and mental benefits of yoga.Will I feel out of place as a beginner?
No. Many of our students began exactly where you are now. Studio One Yoga is known for its supportive, inclusive environment. Yoga reminds us that we have a choice, and to get curious about your feelings and emotions. Will you feel out of place? That's up to you if you choose that, but we will never make you feel that way.
