Sarah Moslemi - S1 Founder/Instructor
Sarah began her career 1999 as a massage therapist, simultaneously incorporating yoga into her life. She was hooked on the heat & movement. She continued to make bodywork & breath a major part of her life, understand that Yoga wasn't just about physical flexibility, but it taught her rules to live by. In 2009, she became a certified vinyasa and hot yoga instructor. Yoga taught her to use breath to move through difficult postures on and off the mat, to stay flexible, which she loves to share in her teachings as it parallels life so well. She opened S1 Yoga Stillwater in November 2011 with her husband. Sarah's is passionate about bringing "Community's together as One." They live Downtown Stillwater with their 5 children.

Dariush Moslemi - Instructor
Dariush Moslemi: Always a skeptic of yoga or anything like it, Dariush grew up in the pool as a competitive swimmer while also practicing martial arts. Having spent his college career in the military and training in Tae Kwon Do, Dariush felt he knew all there was to know about health and wellness....until yoga. Talked into a power vinyasa class by a girl (of course), he figured if he went and got it out of the way he could be left alone about trying it. Seven days and seven classes later, he knew he was hooked and was already sharing with everyone in his life the benefits he was experiencing and how much he loved the well rounded workout, through body, mind and spirit. Not to long after his first class, Dariush enrolled in teacher training and became a certified 200 hour yoga instructor, following that up with an extended training refining his knowledge. He has since been an instructor throughout the twin cities in both large format classes and small private lessons. Dariush strives to bring yoga to the “everyman, woman or child,” having been such a skeptic himself, relates to his students through humor and humility while showing everyone how they are flexible, strong, confident, and ready for yoga.

Steve Streitz - Instructor
In my late teens my yoga journey began with books rather than physical practice. At the time I had no idea that looking within, living in the moment and not trusting my thoughts was at all connected to yoga. Later, in adult life I started a physical practice resulting in immediate physical results but still did not connect awareness to the postures on my mat. Eventually, teachers in my life helped me connect breath, awareness and postures to gain insight and understanding of my life and purpose. I'm certified in vinyasa (movement and flow) and yin (stillness and meditation) and would like to share what I've learned from my teachers.

Alex Berman - Instructor
In 2015 I took a yoga class on a whim with a friend, purely as a form of physical fitness. Instantly I fell in love, and it was not long before I realized that this practice went far deeper than the physical body. Yoga helped me deal with me severe anxiety in a way that nothing else had previously done. Soon after beginning my practice I completed both Yoga Sculpt Teacher Training and 200 Hour Power Yoga Training, and had the pleasure of teaching at Studio One. In July of 2016 I quit my full time job as a Research Chemist to pursue my dream of teaching yoga and fitness classes full time. I am now honored to teach every format offered at Studio One, and love every minute of using my passion to help others find theirs!
Shelly Carter - Instructor
Shelly has been been practicing yoga since 2007 and fell in love with it immediately.
In 2014 she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training and is continuously amazed at how there is always something new to learn about yoga and the innerself, whether practicing or teaching yoga. Passionate about all the healthy and healing properties yoga has to offer, yoga is more than a physical workout, it can be applied to various aspects of daily living. "I truly believe it can help anyone and everyone." When not teaching, practicing or talking about yoga, Shelly is busy raising two girls and teaching them to live everyday to its fullest with gratitude and compassion.

Kaitlin Streitz - Instructor
Kaitlin has over 400 hours of yoga certification through Core Power Yoga in Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative and Hot Yoga. She graduated from the Green River Dance for Global Somatics in 2015 and became a practitioner of Global Somatics TM. She studied each system of the human body through dance, sound, vibration, touch, and psychophysical processing with teacher Suzanne Green River. Her yoga classes are truly of a Global Somatics inspiration channeled through yoga asana. She teaches from the wisdom of her own natural body and her energy reading of the bodies in the room. She puts a lot of love into her classes – all of her teachings are personalized moment-to-moment; based on the studio environment and students’ needs. Kaitlin’s yoga classes are intended to be liberating physically and spiritually for all students present. She often guides through and beyond self-limiting thinking and emotional energy moving through bodies; Kaitlin believes all of this can be navigated and released over time if we are willing and ready to experience real freedom! She also speaks often about the chakra system. Certain movements, combined with breath and intention, clears these passageways. She sees that most everyone on this planet carries around a great deal of past trauma, it’s in our DNA.
“Real freedom in the human body takes courage to feel and a burning desire to experience the real joy of the soul. Healing is fun! Each of us has access to unlimited happiness and a natural exuberance to be alive. That is who we really are! A consistent yoga practice can be a path to open those doors. I am always learning through my work as a healer, teacher, artist, and writer. I also love to dance everywhere, be goofy with my boyfriend whom I adore, hang out with my family, connect authentically with friends, and read inspiring books. See you in class!” -Kaitlin

Rachel King-Instructor
Rachel came to her mat in 2005 looking for a low stress whole body workout during pregnancy. Always being a fitness junkie the practice of yoga both physically and mentally introduced her to a more holistic approach on life. It was then that she realized teaching yoga fulfilled a very special place in her heart and set on a path to share the practice with as many people as she can. Elizabeth Westerhaus - Instructor
After nearly a lifetime struggle with chronic anxiety, Liz sought to find change naturally, working to heal herself through developing a Yoga practice. Reluctantly, she tried a few classes at her local Yoga studios, but was amazed by the almost immediate transformation a quiet, welcoming space, breathing and gentle movements, afforded her weary mind and tired body. A practice she found not only to calm her anxious mind, but the perfect antidote to repair the damage done to her joints from years of running and intense strength training. A former personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Liz has always loved and felt passionate about health and wellness. After only a few short weeks into Yoga, she knew she had not only discovered the “Fountain of Youth” in this beautiful practice, but was quickly embraced by the gentle postures and connection to the breath, which significantly improve her emotional and physical health. Yoga changed her life. Literally. Her mind, her muscles, her skin, her outlook. . .and there has been no going back. After about eight years of developing her own practice, Liz wanted so much to guide others, using her personal experiences to serve and assist others in achieving the benefits of Yoga that have enriched her life more than she ever could’ve imagined. Elizabeth strives to help her students find a deeper connection to the power within, greater awareness of their bodies and minds, promoting self-healing through breath and movement. Most importantly, working with her students to create more joy-filled, peaceful, CONSCIOUS lives. Her daily practice has made her own life so much more whole and balanced and this is what Liz aims to provide to all her students. Liz is registered through Yogafit and works daily to grow her practice.

Heidi Dunnigan - In loving memory
Heidi was first introduced to yoga when she was having horrible back and joint pain due to years of gymnastics injuries. After “stalking” her yoga instructor after class every day with questions and theories, it was suggested she find her own yoga path. Certified in 2007 Heidi still feels she is learning something new every day and will never be complete in her yoga training. Being scared she would lose her passion for yoga if it was a “job”, Heidi now realizes that her passion has grown stronger and she learns a new lesson from her practice as well as from the people she trains with each day.
Heidi loves the many styles of yoga and being able to blend one style with the next. Knowing that every day and everyone is different, we are not here to judge, but to accept who we are for what we are.
Heidi contributes yoga to healing her migraines, getting her through breast cancer, learning to accept her fears, and showing her that energy is always flowing. Just choose which kind to hold onto.

Nancy Meyer - Instructor
Nancy has been practicing yoga for the past eight years. Initially yoga was a compliment to running, biking and weight lifting. Over time the deeper benefits of yoga - strength of body, mind and spirit - became a passion. Yoga is foundational to living a healthy positive life. Nancy recently completely Studio One’s 200-hour teacher training and will be practice teaching at Studio One. “Teacher training is amazing! It refined my physical practice but moreover imparted to me a deep appreciation for the benefits of breathing and mindfulness.” Nancy is excited to continue learning and growing in her yoga practice and coming alongside her fellow yogis to “stay strong for the journey”.

Alyssa discovered a deep love for yoga in a college gym course and hasn't stopped studying. Alyssa received her RYT 200 from CorePower in 2012 where she fell in love with heat, power and strength. In 2016, Alyssa received her RYT 340 from Devanadi Yoga of School & Wellness where she fell in love with nourishment, stability, healing and Restorative Yoga. She is also passionate about sharing healing modalities such as Reiki and Thai Yoga Bodywork. Alyssa wholeheartedly believes anyone can receive the gifts yoga so generously offers. Her teaching style warmly encourages the exploration of mind, body and soul while offering variations for all levels and body types. She guides classes with verbal cues, demonstrations and physical hands on adjustments. Her sequences are inspired by the needs of students, changes in seasons and the ever-evolving flow of life. In her free time you can find her making malas, playing outside by hiking, paddling, biking or walking her furry, four legged friend Fredo.
Madison Leverentz
Madison began playing with yoga on and off as a child to a kids yoga VHS. It wasn’t until about 4 years ago, coming off a ski injury and working at glacier national park that her yoga practice became more serious. Yoga has helped her through the ups and downs of life ever since, and through consistently practicing yoga recognizes a better version of who she is - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Madison completed Studio One’s Teacher Training Program in the spring of 2018. She is excited to continue her yoga journey and share it with others!
