Deveny has spent most of her life immersed in movement. She began ballet at a young age and continued dancing through college, where learning to move from intuition and exploration became deeply transformative. Although she explored yoga during that time, her practice truly deepened after graduation.
Yoga became a lifeline as she navigated anxiety and depression, guiding her toward both healing and curiosity about the spiritual and cultural roots of the practice. In February 2020, she completed her 200 hour teacher training.
Deveny believes holistic movement is a fundamental human need. She teaches from a trauma informed lens, creating spaces that feel grounded, supportive, and accessible. Her intention is to help students reconnect with their bodies, cultivate awareness, and approach themselves with greater compassion and tenderness through the sacred practice of yoga.
